We have now tested the public Tumble Tavern demo on both Steam Deck and Valve's 2026 Steam Machine hardware running SteamOS. It launches, accepts controller input and plays successfully on both. Read the supporting details in Guildhelm Studios' full SteamOS test report.

Take the whole tavern to the sofa.

Tumble Tavern was designed around quick decisions at the table: choose a six-die loadout, equip three runestones, read the throw, then bank or risk a Ruin. The full gamepad interface lets you move through menus, select dice, cast runestones and play without reaching for a keyboard or mouse.

Handheld play

The free demo launches and plays successfully on Steam Deck, with controller navigation and input prompts that adapt to the active gamepad.

What this test means.

This is Guildhelm Studios' own hands-on compatibility test of the public demo. It is not an official Valve Steam Deck rating or Steam Machine certification, and we are not displaying a Valve Verified or Playable badge.

The demo and full game are separate Steam applications, so any official compatibility result would need to come from Valve for the relevant app. If Valve publishes one, we will share it.

Play the free demo now.

The Tumble Tavern demo is free on Steam today. The full game is planned to launch on 12 November 2026.
