Tumble Tavern Android Privacy Policy

Website privacy and analytics

Who and what this policy covers

GUILDHELM STUDIOS LTD, trading as Guildhelm Studios, is responsible for Tumble Tavern. This policy covers the Android game, package com.guildhelmstudios.tumbletavern, including copies distributed through Google Play. For privacy questions, contact contact@guildhelm.com.

The Android game plays offline and does not require a Guildhelm account. It contains no advertising, in-app purchases or Guildhelm-operated online multiplayer service. Website analytics and the Steam edition are separate from this Android game.

Your profile and progress stay in the game's local storage

The game stores your chosen profile name and portrait selection, campaign and Gauntlet progress, unlocked dice and runestones, in-game coins and rewards, saved runs, match records and settings such as language, sound, accessibility and performance preferences. Use a nickname if you do not want to put your real name in a local profile. Your local profile is not an online account or a public player directory.

The game also keeps local play statistics, such as matches started and completed, results, session durations, rewards and onboarding progress. These support the local game and its records; they are not automatically sent to Guildhelm or an analytics service. Guildhelm does not run a server that receives your Android save files or gameplay history.

The game uses device and input information locally to display and control the game, choose suitable rendering settings and respond to supported Android thermal-status information. These checks do not send device information to Guildhelm.

Diagnostics and reports you choose to share

The game can write technical logs locally. If you choose Report bug, it copies a report header to your clipboard containing the game edition and build, operating system, graphics-device description, screen resolution and a log-file location where available, then opens the external support page. It does not read your existing clipboard or automatically submit a report or upload a log or save file.

If you send us an email, post a report or supply a screenshot, log or save file, we receive the information you choose to share. This may include your contact or community profile details, your chosen in-game name, device information and local file paths. Review attachments before sending them and avoid unnecessary personal information. Reports posted to a public community may be visible to other people.

Google Play, Android and backups

Google handles Google Play purchases, downloads, updates and applicable installation or licence checks under its own terms and privacy policy. You do not enter payment details into the game. Guildhelm can receive store sales, transaction and quality reports made available to developers for operating the release, handling support and understanding technical issues.

If your Android settings allow sharing usage and diagnostics with Google, Google may provide app-quality information to us through Android vitals, such as crash and performance reports. This is Android/Google Play reporting, separate from the game's local play statistics. Manage that sharing in your device's Google settings.

Android or your device provider may back up or transfer app data according to your device settings and the installed version's backup rules. Such backups are handled by that provider, not a Guildhelm cloud-save service. We cannot access or delete your device-provider backups. A backup may restore local progress after reinstallation.

How we use and retain information we receive

We use correspondence, voluntary reports and relevant store information to answer questions, investigate bugs, manage purchases or refunds where applicable, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining a working game, on contract where handling information is necessary to provide purchase-related support, and on legal obligation for records the law requires us to keep. We limit this use to what is necessary for those purposes and consider the effect on your privacy. We do not sell that information or use game reports to build advertising profiles. Sending a report does not subscribe you to marketing.

Information you choose to send may be processed by the email or community service used to deliver it and by service providers needed to store and handle studio correspondence. Those services may process information outside your country under their applicable terms and safeguards. We restrict studio access to what is needed for the enquiry or business purpose and do not publish private correspondence without permission unless legally required.

We retain support information while reasonably needed to resolve the enquiry, investigate a recurring fault or keep necessary business or legal records, then delete it when no longer needed. There is no single retention period for every enquiry. Store, community, email and backup providers have their own retention rules.

Your choices and rights

Local game data remains until replaced, reset or removed. On Android, use Settings, Apps, Tumble Tavern, Storage, then Clear storage or Clear data to remove the local app data. Menu names vary by device. This deletes progress and preferences. Uninstalling normally removes local app data, but does not necessarily delete provider backups or information you have already shared with us or a community.

There is no Guildhelm account to close. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information you have sent us, contact contact@guildhelm.com. We may need enough information to locate the record and verify the request. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing or receive a copy of your information. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority. Contact Google or the relevant provider for data it controls, such as your Google account, purchases or device backups.

Children and other editions

The Android game does not require players to submit personal details to Guildhelm. Children should not put personal details into a profile or public bug report; a parent or guardian can contact us about information a child has sent. The game's store age rating describes its content and is separate from this privacy policy.

This policy does not describe the Steam edition's platform integrations. That edition can use Steam profile features, achievements and Steam Cloud under Valve's privacy policy. Those Steam integrations are not used by the Android edition.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the Android game's data practices change and revise the date above. If a future version introduces data collection requiring notice or consent, we will provide that before the new collection begins.
